33yo at time of his death according to Sausenheim KB, but I don't believe this is correct (this would put him b. abt. 1697).
Having searched the Wallernhausen KB (which covered Ober-Lais for the period in question) from beginning (c. 1648) to 1720, I only found a single Sebastian Gambach, for whom there was no death record either.  He was b. 1685 and confirmed in 1697.Perhaps the pastor in Sausenheim saw the date of his confirmation and conflated the two dates.
At any rate, it's hard to believe that another Sebastian Gambach born in Ober-Lais (a tiny village at the time) during the same period would surface.  The 1681 date makes more sense also, because he would otherwise have been 7 years younger than his wife - possible but not especially likely.
