Pneumonia
DIED.  At his residence in Crestline, Monday March 30th, 1875 at 9 o’clock A.M., John Adam Thoman, aged 67 years, 8 months, and 29 days
John Adam Thoman of Crestline died on Tuesday last.
His disease was Pneumonia, resulting from a severe cold, the seat of the disease being the left lung.  The immediate cause of his sudden death was congestion of the lungs, a very frequent complication of this disease in men of his age, and nearly always proves fatal.
BUT!!  There is also a tombstone for him with his wife in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort IN.  So who knows - he might be buried with her.
The funeral, conducted by the Masonic order, took place at one o’clock to-day, the Rev. John Winter and others officiating. – Independent Democrat, April 2
